Kingwood Goes All-Out At 4th of July Celebrations

kingwood-4th-of-julyThere’s no need to waste time or money next weekend heading out of town in search of holiday fun – Kingwood residents have a smorgasbord of entertainment options this 4th of July!

Gather your friends, family and neighbors and get ready to celebrate with these dawn-to-dusk activities are planned right here in Kingwood.

Kingwood Civic Club Fishing Rodeo
The fishing rodeo will be held on Monday, July 4, at Fosters Mill Pond starting at 6:00 am. This event is for children 15 and under and no registration is required.

Kingwood Civic Club Bike Decorating Contest
The contest is to be held at Creekwood Middle School on Monday, July 4, beginning at 8:00 am. No registration is required.

Kingwood Civic Club 4th of July Parade
The line up begins at 8:00 am at Creekwood Middle School. The parade will begin promptly at 10:00 am on July 4.

West Lake Houston Parkway from Feather Lakes to Kingwood Drive and Kingwood Drive to Kingwood High School will be closed from 10 am to approximately noon. Guests may park in an area north of Feather Lakes or on a side street that has access through to another main road.

Parade Route: W Lake Houston Pkwy from Creekwood Middle School, Kingwood Drive to the Kingwood High School

Forest Cove 4th of July Parade
The parade line up will begin at 9:00 am on Monday, July 4, at the Forest Cove Community Center, located at 1025 Marina Drive, Kingwood, Texas. The parade will begin at 10:00 am and a BBQ will follow the parade at the Community Center. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children under 10.

HEB 4th of July Festival and Fireworks Display at Town Center Park
Festival booths at Kingwood Town Center will be open Monday, July 4, from 2:00 to 9:00 pm. There will be something for the whole family with food, moonwalks, and craft and vendor booths. Admission is free, but don’t forget your pocket books! There will be lots of things to do, items to browse through and delicious food to sample. Thunder will provide the musical entertainment from 2:30 to 6:00 pm, followed by Level One from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The evening will conclude with a firework spectacular at dusk.

Town Center Park is located on the Southwest corner of Kingwood Drive and West Lake Houston Pkwy. Festival visitors can park in the shopping strips surrounding the park or on the street south of it. Do not park in the Burger King parking lot, they will tow.

Independence Day Concert at Kings Harbor
New this year, patriotic concert will be performed open-air style on Monday, July 4, by the Lonestar College-Kingwood Symphonic Band and the Kingwood Big Band at Kings Harbor. Admission is free. Guest will need to provide their lawn chairs and refreshments.
