Oakhurst at Kingwood parents will soon have school on their mind, as the New Caney I.S.D. 2009-2010 school year kicks off on August 24th. We hope to bring our community a bundle of resources for the new school year.
New Students/Enrollment
If your child is new to Oakhurst at Kingwood and New Caney I.S.D., registration is an easy process. Simply assess which school your child will attend (Oakhurst at Kingwood students attend Bens Branch Elementary, White Oak Middle School, and New Caney High School), and register on location.
Bens Branch Elementary: 281-577-8700

New Caney High School: 281-577-2800
New registrants must have proof of residency (a sales agreement or utility bill), a birth certificate or other legal proof of identity, a Social Security Card, Immunization records, and an Identification document of the parent/guardian enrolling the student.

The Friends of the Library in Kingwood are pleased to announce that due to the surrounding community support, the Kingwood Library will be moving to new and improved facilities. The new branch library is scheduled to open this Fall, with the inclusion of a bargain bookstore open daily.
Since its beginning, FOLK has striven to raise donations for the library, from its initial profit of $33 to now over $5,000 every quarter. The last used book sale before moving to the new library will be held August 13-15 at the current library.
Donations will be accepted year round, to help stock the library shelves and the sales. All books, as well as textbooks and engineering-type books, magazines and media donations are greatly appreciated.
