Created in 1970, Friendswood Development Company pioneered the concept of master-planned neighborhoods with Kingwood and truly set the standard for exceptional community development. Nearing its final phases, Kingwood offers new homes in two unique villages: Oakhurst at Kingwood and Royal Shores in Kingwood. Both boast the impressive natural surroundings of Kingwood’s naturally forested landscape and some of the most beautiful new homes in the Houston area.

The Clubs of Kingwood Country Club, touted as the world’s largest Country Club, offers our community the prestige of six championship golf courses. It houses more than 1,000 acres of fairways, more than any other community in Houston. The Oakhurst Golf Club in the Oakhurst of Kingwood Village offers an excellent semi private 18-hole daily fee courses. With over 20 community swimming pools, almost every village has a place to splash. The new Lodge at Oakhurst community Center is a newly completed 1 million dollar facility, complete with community room, baby pool and fountain as well as a metered pool and slides. Kingwood has over 500 acres of private parks and nature reserves. Also, there are two community sports parks with soccer, baseball and softball fields. With over 75 miles of greenbelts, patrolled by police on bicycles, you can enjoy walking, hiking and biking through the woods, along the lake and into the nature reserve. Oakhurst Take US 59 north to Northpark Drive exit. Turn left and head west to Rock Creek Drive,then turn right into Oakhurst at Kingwood. 
Royal Shores Take Kingwood Drive to Willow Terrace, turn right. Follow the signs to Royal Shores. |
